Guidelines for Oral Contributions
General Instructions for oral presentations
The length of the oral presentations is as follows:
- Plenary Talk: 40 minutes (30 min presentation + 10 min Q&A),
- Topic Invited Talk: 30 min (25 min presentation + 5 min Q&A),
- Selected Contributed Talk: 20 min (15 min presentation + 5 min Q&A).
Guidelines for Poster Contributions
General Instructions and Poster Formatting:
Four poster sessions are scheduled during the conference:
- Monday, 21 September, 14:30 – 16:00 – Topics E, B, I, & J
- Tuesday, 22 September, 14:00 – 15:30 – Topics D, F, I & J
- Wednesday 23 September, 11:00 – 12:30 – Topics G, K, L, I & J
- Thursday, 24 September, 16:00 – 17:30 – Topics A, C, H, G, I & J
There will be 4 poster rooms (Big One, Studio 1, Studio 2 and Coursives), and the schedule for each room will be indicated on the website and in the app.
Please note that the presentation of the poster contribution is required for submission of the corresponding contributed paper to the SOFT 2026 Proceedings.
There is no official poster template for SOFT 2026.
Posters must be in a portrait oriented A0 format which will be displayed on the boards in the conference venue. The content should be readable by viewers one and a half meters away, the message should be clear and understandable and cover all key aspects of the work presented.
All posters must display the contribution title, authors, and associated affiliations.
On-site Participation:
Poster presenters are expected to print and set-up their posters themselves in the Conference venue, with the help of the conference staff if needed. The following equipment will be provided:
- Either a 240 cm (height) x 100 cm (width) poster board or a 200cm x 100cm poster grid (in the coursives).
- a sign indicating your poster ID number.
- Velcro stickers for poster mounting.
Please note that the poster boards are not supplied with electricity or audio-visual equipment.
Presenters who entered the SOFT2026 PhD Poster Prize, please ensure to upload your poster to the platform by Friday, 18 September 2026.
Poster Set-up and Tear Down:
The poster presenters are required to set-up their posters on the assigned boards in the Conference Venue the morning of their poster session.
Posters must be removed from the boards in the Conference Venue at the end of each session. Conference staff will be available to help if needed.
